If you've found your way here, then you're probably thinking about ways to improve your written English. This is my invitation to you:
- email me at my Essex University address (mhollow@essex.ac.uk) and ask to join as an author
- wait for an email invitation to join as an author;
- follow the instructions in the email;
- write your first post to introduce yourself;
- read other posts and make comments on anything you find interesting. Ask questions if you can;
- add links, gadgets, and videos to the blog if you like.
And this is my challenge:
- find a text that you're interested in. This could be any written text, or even a film or song;
- write a summary of your chosen text in either 20 words or 50 words (you decide);
- post your summary on the blog with a link to your source text;
- invite other people to comment. Ask a question if you can.
I sincerely hope that you spend some time contributing to this blog. I guarantee that the more you contribute, the more your English will improve.
Welcome
The aim of this blog is for its authors to develop their written English through reading, summarising, and responding to texts. Please join me as an author, and start communicating with each other through ever-improving written English now!
